Dat NOLA Race Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are participants required to spend any of their own money during the course of the race?
A: You will not NEED extra cash while participating in the race. Any money required at any of the stops will be either given to you at orientation or is pre-paid. You may, however, want to have personal money available in case you want to purchase something "extra" along the way - like food, beverage, souvenir, etc.
Q: What does my entry fee include?
A: Included in the entry fee is: race participation complete with race packet (all that each team needs to navigate the course), expense free touring of the race course stops, "souvenirs" collected along the way, post-race awards ceremony (1st, 2nd, 3rd place awards), Dat NOLA Race gift bag for each participant (t-shirt, koosie), and post-race party...most of all...a unique and exciting experience that will be remembered and talked about for a long time after the race is complete.
Q: Does the race require physical skills?
A: The race does not require any specific physical skills. However, the race does require teams to travel (by foot) anywhere from 2-4 miles and some race stops require at least one team member to "physically" do something.
Q: How many people can be on a team?
A: There is no limit to the number of participants on a team. There are 2 schools of thought when it comes to how many is best...1) The more members, the more minds available to solve clues and 2) Your team is only as fast as the slowest member. The minimum is 2 and we have had as many as 6.

Q: Is it allowable to take transportation during the race?
A: No. Unless specifically instructed to take a specific mode of transportation, all travel must be by foot. This means no planes, trains, automobiles, boats, bicycles, horses, ...
Q: Can scheduled races be cancelled?
A: Races will not be cancelled due to weather. However, we reserve the right to cancel public races that do not reach registration quotas.
Q: Is race day registration allowed?
A: No. All participants must register in advance online. Registration is usually closed ~2 days prior to the event to allow our staff to prepare.
